Guidelines for Covid-19 and other communicable infections
Purpose Driven Tours (PDT) does not mandate Covid-19 vaccinations, flu shots, or other vaccines. PDT does not require mask-wearing on the motor coach nor social distancing on the coach.
However, when a venue, restaurant or hotel mandates mask-wearing, we respectfully ask that you follow those guidelines.
We expect all of our guests to be responsible for their own health and to be considerate of all of those traveling on the motor coach. We agree and understand that certain events are unavoidable but we want to do as much as possible and reasonable to help keep you safe.
- For any guest who has experienced fever, congestion, cough, loss of sense of smell/taste within 7 seven days of departure of the tour or has knowingly been exposed to someone with Covid-19, we ask that you get a test for Covid-19, prior to the day of departure of the tour.
- On the morning of departure, each guest will have a temperature check. If anyone has a 100.4 or higher, her/she cannot board the bus.
- On the morning of departure, each guest must sign a “Healthy Travel” form and a waiver of liability form.
- At our discretion, PDT may conduct temperature checks on guests during the tour. If anyone has a 100.4 or higher temperature, he/she must get a Covid-19 test as soon as possible. If the test is positive for Covid-19, he/she cannot get back on the motor coach and will need to make alternate travel plans. This is for your well-being, as well as the safety of all the travelers. PDT staff will assist, when possible, to secure alternate travel plans.
- When a guest becomes ill on the coach, we expect that guest to notify a PDT staff member in order for a plan of action to be made. A guest MAY be asked to leave the tour, depending on the circumstances.
- When a guest has noticeable coughing or other symptoms of illness, PDT will ask that guest to wear a mask while riding the coach, in order to decrease the spreading of germs.
- If a guest becomes ill on the tour and cannot continue for medical reasons, that is an insurable event by our travel insurance company. If someone has to depart from the tour, PDT staff will assist, when possible, to secure alternate travel plans.
